Atlantic Canada!!

“There is nothing like Atlantic Canada hospitality!” This is the refrain I kept hearing as I made preparations to attend the Annual Assembly of Canadian Baptists in Atlantic Canada (Oasis in CBAC parlance) in Moncton, New Brunswick a couple of weeks ago.

Indeed I did feel the welcome. Even more than that, it was such a delight to connect in person with folks who I have been in Zoom conversations with over the past two years. There is nothing like being in person!

Some of the fine folks who participated in our workshop, "Finding the Good in Truth & Reconciliation: Appreciative Inquiry"

What a gift it was to see and hear about the length and diversity of ministry happening around the country. This completed my journey of gathering with each of the three national Canadian Baptist gatherings and to connect and hear about what is happening in the realm of justice, healing and right relations.

I also took the opportunity to do some exploring of the region after meetings finished up. To make it even better, my Aunt and Uncle came out to join me. Here we are in the Bay of Fundy.
